Enviro Slug is a highly efficient steel and aluminum scrap metal compression machine that produces metal "pucks" or briquettes. Steel and aluminum chips taken directly from the shop floor are processed with our proprietary chip handling and fluid recovery system, resulting in highly compressed pucks ready for remelting. The uniformity of the recycled scrap allows for more accurate predictions of final scrap weight.
The compressed pucks or briquettes produced have less than 1% moisture content. Valuable coolants and oils are extracted from your scrap and returned to your shop for reuse. In an average installation, 30-40 gallons of oil per ton of scrap is recovered and ready to be reused as a coolant.

Enviro Slug can handle any type of ferrous and nonferrous metals, including a wide range of specialty metals. We've even managed to take a production byproduct of lint and turn it into a burnable fireplace type log, saving the waste from going into landfills.
Enviro Slug units are entirely automatic which reduces the number of valuable employee hours needed for dealing with machine turnings. Our briquetting system takes a limited amount of valuable shop space in either a horizontal or vertical installation. On average, Enviro Slug will use less than 50 square feet of floor space.
